Day 17: Cleaning out and reorganizing all the upper cabinets in my small kitchen! I took everything out so I could give the cabinets and shelf liners a good wipe down. As I was putting things back, I only put in my favorite glasses and mugs and donated the rest.

Day 16: It was time to give all the drawers in my small kitchen a good clean out, purge, and reorganize! You can see our kitchen works hard for us (that broken silverware organizer!) so It was time for a refresh. I’m loving the black drawer organizers as a fun alternative to bamboo, but I think having clean, crumb free drawers is the best part.

Day 15: Pots, pans and bakeware. Giving my cabinet a quick clean out and organize feels so good! And even though my cabinets are old (1969 original!) they can still be made more functional with the addition of a pan organizer. This one is great because it can be used vertically or horizontally, depending on what shape cabinet you have. Day 14: Paperwork! Have a backlog of paper clutter in your home? Here’s my method for clearing out the piles:
Step 1: Gather all miscellaneous paperwork in your house and make a stack. Start sorting the stack based on categories. My categories are:

- Recycle
- Action
- Wait and See
- To file
- Coupons
- Receipts
- Kid Art
- Photographs

Step 2: Recycle or toss anything that’s garbage

Step 3) Put remaining piles in dedicated homes! I like to use magazine holders, paperwork drawers and file folders to keep each category sorted and easy to access.

Paperwork can only overwhelm us if we let it. Let’s take charge and show those piles of paper who’s the boss! And be sure to follow along for more realistic organizing tips and easy to implement processes!

We are a no shoes household which inevitably means our garage floor is covered with shoes. I’ve been trying different shoe storage systems for years and this is the best I’ve found so far.
