With a week until Thanksgiving, it’s time to start thinking about the holidays and how you want to decorate your home to make it cozy and festive. Do you have everything you need? Or are there a few things you need to add to complete your holiday decorating this year?
This year, I’m really feeling a neutral, simple Christmas color palate, with touches of gold to make things shine. It seems like every year I like to take a different spin on our holiday decorations and sometimes that means adding a few things to my decor stash.
I’ve rounded up my favorite neural Christmas decor for 2022 and the best part is, nothing is over $20. So if you want to update your decorations a little (or a lot!) it won’t break the bank.
Favorite Neutral Christmas Decorations For 2022:
Glass dome – I found these on a recent trip to IKEA and I loved the simplicity and flexibility. They could be filled with bottlebrush trees, pinecones, candles, or really anything. I picked up a large and small size to create a nice little arrangement.
Ceramic green and white tree set – Super simple and inexpensive. Walmart has really upped their design game in recent years!
Fairy lights – So pretty and so easy to string anywhere since they run on batteries. There’s nothing like the glow of soft lights to brighten the dark days of winter.
Mixed faux garland with pinecones – 9 feet of garland for under $20 is a great price. I will use 2 to drape over my stairs.
Wood bead garland – I made my own a few years ago, but this is a way easier (and probably cheaper) way to achieve the same look.
Brass candle holder with LED candles – Another IKEA find. This will be darling on my new living room shelves.
Woven tree collar – Tree collars are a fun update to the tree skirt. This one is a GREAT price and splits in half for easier storage.
Black candlesticks – I have a similar set and love them. I use them all year round on my fireplace or bookshelves.
Faux fir garland – This garland is SO realistic! It looks just like the branches of a Douglas Fir tree but without the pokey needles. I snagged 2 to cover my mantle.
White winter berry wreath – I love the idea of a wreath that can stay up through all of winter and not just the holiday season.
LED candles – As someone with young kids, I get nervous about lighting real candles. But these realistic LED beauties might just be the thing I need to add some cozy candle light to my house.
White knit stockings – A lovely, neutral set of 4 stockings for under $20. This is a steal!
Hopefully this inspires you to pick up a few new things to brighten your home for the holidays!
