And even though my cabinets are old (1969 original!) they can still be made more functional with the addition of a pan organizer. This one is great because it can be used vertically or horizontally, depending on what shape cabinet you have. Here’s my method for clearing out the piles: Step 1: Gather all miscellaneous paperwork in your house and make a stack.  Start sorting the stack based on categories. My categories are: - Recycle - Action - Wait and See - To file - Coupons - Receipts - Kid Art - Photographs Step 2: Recycle or toss anything that’s garbage Step 3) Put remaining piles in dedicated homes! I like to use magazine holders, paperwork drawers and file folders to keep each category sorted and easy to access. Paperwork can only overwhelm us if we let it. Let’s take charge and show those piles of paper who’s the boss! I’ve been trying different shoe storage systems for years and this is the best I’ve found so far.
