Happy St. Patrick’s day & happy friday! Today I’m sharing my new compact coffee bar and how adding a lazy susan has been a game changer for this tight corner in my kitchen.
First off, here’s what you need to recreate this look:
15″ Acacia Lazy Susan
Nespresso Inissia Espresso Machine with Milk Frother
Marble Ceramic Canister Set of 3
Our kitchen is very small and it feels like things are tight no matter which direction you reach.
The designated “coffee corner” is wedged between the sink, stove and the cabinets. It’s nice to have it near the sink and the mug cabinet, but it’s a tight squeeze to get in and make coffee in the morning.
As I was brainstorming ways to make this situation function better, it came to me: a lazy susan! Just like in the pantry or under the sink, lazy susans can help you access items that are otherwise hard to reach. I figured, why not get an oversized one and see if that would make this tight corner easier to reach?
And guess what, it was perfect!
Acacia Lazy Susan
It’s the thing you always needed but never knew it! Haha! I’ve used trays and wood cutting boards under my coffee pots in the past but this is the first time I’ve tired a Lazy Susan. I love how easy it makes it to fill the water reservoir and plug in/unplug the frother or espresso machine.
This Acacia wood lazy susan is lovely. It’s the perfect warm teak color that plays nicely with our mid century walnut cabinets and the size (15″) is perfect for a kitchen corner.
The Nespresso Inissia Espresso Machine & Milk Frother
We’ve always had an old school drip coffee pot, so this new Nespresso machine feels like such a fancy upgrade. After testing it out, I can tell you it makes a really great cup of coffee. And when I use the frother for milk or non-dairy milk, it takes it from a great cup of coffee to something that rivals Starbucks.
With both my husband and myself at home all day we rarely find the need to get coffee anywhere else. And while a cup of drip coffee hits the spot, a nice espresso drink every so often feels really special.
My Favorite Way To Make Coffee
First I make an espresso using a Nespresso pod. I select the lungo setting which is larger than your standard espresso shot. Mostly because I’m a fan of a larger cup of coffee. 🙂
While the espresso is brewing, I add a generous splash of almond milk and a less generous splash of Vanilla Nut Pods creamer into the frother. I press the button and it spins around for a minute or two getting nice and foamy.
Once the light goes off, I pour the foam and frothed milk over my espresso and enjoy! It’s so, so good!
Canisters For Organization
In the kitchen, there’s nothing better than a good canister for organization. They are multipurpose (you can always change up what they hold, like sugar and flour one day, coffee and pods the next!) and conceal unsightly items (like coffee filters or sweetener packets!)
This marble ceramic set is just the perfect compact size for storing coffee pods, spoons and sweetener. While I had some trouble with the lids popping off, I quickly removed the silicone seal and now the lid sits nicely on top without moving.
This little corner is now my absolute favorite part of my kitchen. It has everything I need in one convenient twisting tray and just looks so pretty.

Have a great day!
